　　不知从什么时候起，有一张无形的网正渐渐笼罩了我们的生活、我们这座城市。它起的作用不是“束缚”，而是使我们拥有了无限拓展延伸的能力。对，它就是无线网络。
　　当手机上网成为一种生活，无线网络已经成了我们生活中的必需品。随时随地能连接上免费公共WiFi，这样的场景在桐乡正在成为现实。
　　从今年下半年起，在公交站台、在办事大厅、乌镇镇区……只要打开手机、电脑等设备，就能搜索、连接上一个名为“i—zhejiang(爱浙江)”的WiFi，并免费上网。
　　“乌镇免费WiFi水平世界一流;桐乡市公共场所基本全覆盖”在“智慧城市无线网络提升工程”这一2015年政府惠民实事工程中，这是要求也是任务。
　　当“智慧城市”建设搭上了“互联网+”的顺风车，将会发生什么?

　　你是否设想过，在公交站台等车，时间还早，从口袋里掏出手机，自动连接公共WiFi，然后开始刷朋友圈，刷微博，下载昨晚刚更新的电视剧集。不多时，公交车缓缓驶进站台，朋友圈点赞完毕，电视剧也下载完成……
　　这样的场景即将成为现实。目前，中国电信已在城市公交23个智能公交站台(集中分布于市区庆丰路)基本完成无线设备的安装工作，7月底前完成上线测试，8月将投入正式使用。
　　以往，在桐乡不少公共场所例如高铁站、汽车站、图书馆、医疗机构等，手机就能搜索到浙江电信的WiFi热点“chinanet”。
　　如今，包括电信在内的几大运营商都将逐步接入“i-zhejiang”，并根据更多的技术标准进行改造提升，不断提升无线网络质量。依托于惠民实事工程的建设，桐乡打造智慧城市无线网络的脚步正在加快。
　　记者从中国电信桐乡分公司了解到，截止到2014年底，中国电信已在全市范围内建成无线局域网接入点(AP)数量2392个(其中包括公共机构部分及乌镇互联网大会重点区域)，以免费开放为主与商用相结合无线局域网建设架构已初步建成。
